The Israeli army has confirmed the killing of Hamas leader Fateh Sherif Abu el-Amin in Lebanon. This is what we read in a statement published on Telegram. «During the night, during a joint activity of the IDF (the army, ed.) and the ISA (the security agency, ed.) based on intelligence, the IAF (the Air Force, ed.) struck and eliminated the terrorist Fateh Sherif, head of the Lebanese branch of the Hamas terrorist organization”, reads the statement.
«Sherif was responsible for coordinating Hamas terrorist activities in Lebanon with Hezbollah operatives. He was also responsible for Hamas’ efforts in Lebanon to recruit agents and acquire weapons – the note continues -. He led the Hamas terrorist organization’s efforts to strengthen forces in Lebanon and worked to advance Hamas interests in Lebanon, both politically and militarily. The IDF and the ISA will continue to operate against anyone who poses a threat to civilians in the State of Israel.”
