The armed wing of Hamas, the al-Qassam Brigades, have announced that they will hand over, at 9pm local time (8pm in Italy), the body of an Israeli hostage recovered today in the Gaza Strip. Arab News reports it.
Previously, a source from the al-Qassam Brigades had told Al Jazeera that during the searches underway in the Strip today, in the Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City, one of the bodies of the hostages still in the Strip had been found.
Israel: Hamas knows where the bodies of missing hostages are
Israel is convinced that Hamas knows where the bodies of the 13 killed hostages who are still in Gaza are located. “We think they know about everyone,” a source told the Times of Israel. “We think, with the right approach, they can bring them all back.”
For now, Israel will let the search continue: “The indication we have now is that everyone is making a great effort to find them.”
Israel’s patience won’t last forever, official says. “If it doesn’t happen today, and perhaps in the near future, we will have to make decisions.”
