Serious road accident this morning near Rosarno, along the SS18. Two heavy vehicles collided head-on for reasons still under investigation. In the impact, the driver of one of the trucks was seriously injured, but his life was not in danger. Pet medics (territorial emergency station) and the fire brigade immediately intervened on site and extracted the man from the vehicle’s sheet metal. The injured man was then transferred by air ambulance to the Reggio Calabria hospital. The police are working to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident and restore normal traffic along the highway.
