After a year to the break, theHyle Book Festivalcultural review conceived in 2020 with the aim of promoting the wonder of literature immersed in the suggestive nature of the Sila National Park, he warms the engines to return this summer with a new edition full of novelty.
To announce it, Thursday 15 May, was the artistic curator Elena Dardano From a special and authoritative location, namely the Turin International Book Fair.
The Calabrian festival, which intertwines literature, nature and art to give voice to stories that resist and sow future, as part of the lights on the festivals promoted by the organizers of the most important event in the editorial field, was selected from the 50 most interesting cultural events that will take place this year on the Italian territory.
“Bringing our dream born in the woods and villages of Calabria in this place symbol of national culture is a profound emotion and a precious opportunity. Get here, with a festival that walks with a slow step to listen to the landscape and bring out narratives capable of regenerating the present, means spreading the breath of our woods, the stories collected along the paths, the enthusiasm of those who believe that culture can be rooted, shared, alive “said Dardano during his intervention in the Oval Spazio Calabria-U128-V127 pavilion.
The artistic curator of the Hyle Book Festival brought the testimony of how dreams, when they cure constantly, love and trust, can become real, concrete and collective. “The immense dream”, in fact, is the verse of the poet Daniele Radano who gives shape and breath to the 2025 edition of the Festival, along the fil rouge of the dreamlike vision of art that materializes. A theme that will explore chimeric, but also its design vision. The dream that continues, this year more than ever, is the strength to imagine the impossible: what still does not exist, what has been forgotten, what has the courage to go to the bottom or to start again, what the present discourages, but that literature, art and the word can keep and transform. In addition to literary meetings, the review introduces some significant innovations, including greater integration between naturalistic paths and digital tools, new exhibition forms with installations and exhibitions spread in the natural context and growing attention to the issues of inclusion and social.
