The controls of the Messina traffic police continue on commercial activities operating in the vehicle maintenance and repair sector. During an operation conducted by agents of the Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto Detachment, an illegal mechanical workshop in the municipality of Falcone was identified and seized.

During the inspection, the agents ascertained that the activity was carried out without the necessary administrative authorizations, in violation of sector regulations. Inside a shed, used as a workshop, a real self-repair activity was underway: the rooms were equipped with a lifting bridge, welding machines, compressors, metal benches with vices, wrenches and other professional equipment.

Several cars undergoing repairs were also found in the shed. Having identified the owner of the illegal activity, the officers proceeded to seize all the mechanical equipment and inspect the vehicles present.

At the end of the checks, the traffic police imposed administrative fines of around 6,000 euros, both against the man who ran the illegal workshop and the owners of the cars who had used his services. The seizure was ordered for the purposes of confiscation.

The operation is part of the targeted controls of the Messina traffic police, aimed at combating irregular activities in the car repair sector and ensuring road safety and consumer protection.
