In Bari you feel at home with the sound of… focaccia. The generous offering of the red and white fans to the supporters of Cosenza

Football rivalry takes a back seat and leaves room for hospitality. A curious story told on the Facebook page of the Cosenza Club rossoblù “Ciccio Magnelli” of Rovito, which testified to what happened a few days before the trip to one of the members of the group.

“Hey, hello, how are you, are you okay? It’s Mimmo from Bari, we haven’t spoken for a while”. This is how a long phone call from a dear friend from Bari begins. “I wanted to tell you that for next Saturday’s match we are organizing a group of fans that will be called A BARI NESSUNO È STRANIERO; the initiative, conceived by Daniele, is to offer focaccia barese to visiting fans who come to the “San Nicola” as a sign of friendship, because we have to see football from another point of view: we have to make sure that the away match is not an end in itself, but rather a friendly meeting of people so that in the future we can visit together the places and admire the beauties where our favorite team plays. On the way back, in Cosenza, we are sure you will offer us your local specialties”. We, a small group of fans from the hinterland of Cosenza, from a small community in the Pre-Sila area, could not ignore this wonderful initiative. We are nobody, we are a small drop of water present at the “Marulla” every time Cosenza plays at home and often around Italy with our bus full of joy and… typical products.
We accept the invitation of Daniele and his group of friends, with his motto “IN BARI NO ONE IS A FOREIGNER”, aware of the difficulties in meeting up and enjoying the focaccia, due to the restrictions of the Police. We will be in Bari, and we will do everything to hug each other before and after the match, aware that for 90 minutes we will be “rivals”; rivals in the teasing, in the ironic paper banners that the wind carries away at the end of the match! Let it be clear to everyone: this is not intended to be a twinning, but rather a way, in the future, to have the opportunity to see the beauties of the area, enjoy the typical products and watch the match, with a scarf around our necks, in complete tranquility.
