The show “Icaro” in Syracuse as a special event for G7 Italy

After the great success achieved at the Tindari Festival, directed by Tindaro Granata, the show “Icaro” created by the Libera Compagnia del Teatro per Sognare born inside the Messina District Prison, flies to Ortigia for an extraordinary occasion of great beauty: the G7 Italy- Expo 2024 – Divination.

The show will be performed in Syracuse, Tuesday 24 September at 8.30 pm, in the beautiful setting of the Teatro Massimo, the city’s municipal theatre.

“An exciting event of international scope, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry in collaboration with the Municipality of Syracuse. We imagined a special edition of “Icaro” for which a song dedicated to the earth was composed in line with the theme of the G7, and once again the Libera Compagnia del Teatro per Sognare of the prisoners-actors will be a prestigious stage together with the students of Law and Political Science of the University of Messina of the project “Free to Be Free”the women of Syracuse, Messina and Patti who will act as extras and represent a lively and vibrant territory, the dancers of Studio Danza and the dancer Daniel Sciarronethe stage movements of Mariangela Bonanno and Alice Rellathe Cuore di Argante company followed by Joseph Spicuglia who also takes care of the lighting design, the boys of the Fernando Balestra School Inda Section, the children of Siracusa and with the participation of professional musicians and actors: in addition to the director Mario Incudine on stage there will also be Eugenio Mastrandrea, Paride Benassai and Lorena Denaro, the musicians Antonio Vasta, Pino Ricosta and Manfredi Tumminello. For our kids and for everyone, after Tindari, a new experience even more exciting for various reasons, an experience that always wants to look beyond the obstacles. In the beautiful setting of the City of Syracuse, on stage a tableau vivant that will drag the spectators into the dream of freedom between acting, music and dance.”, explains Daniela Ursino who curated the conception and artistic direction of the project.
