After the success of the concert of the “San Vitaliano” polyphonic choir at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception of Catanzaro, on the occasion of Palm Sunday, he resumes the concert season 2025 of A.GI.Mus. – Section of Catanzaro. In this circumstance, on Friday 16 May at 18:30, in the concert hall of the Municipality of Catanzaro, the duo composed of Maestro will perform Francesco Miniaci (piano) and from Maestro Roberta Ferraro (Traverse flute). The evening, entitled “Journey through the Latin American sounds”, will be introduced by the journalist Arcangelo Pugliese and accompanied by the photographic exhibition “The places of the soul” of Giuseppe Sala.
The artists
Francesco MiniaciCalabrian pianist, graduated in 2008 at the “F. Torrefranca” Conservatory in Vibo Valentia. He obtained two jazz piano graduations with honors, respectively in 2020 (“Tchaikovsky” Conservatory of Nocera Terinese) and in 2023 (“Corelli” Conservatory of Messina). It has about 100 concerts in Italy and abroad and has participated in prestigious jazz workshops. He has released three albums, including Virgilius and one plan only dedicated to Thelonious Monk. He was the winner of the National Arts Prize 2021.
Roberta FerrarOr, Calabrian flutist, he graduated with full marks at the “Tchaikovsky” Institute in 2015. He continued his studies in Switzerland and Germany, winning several prizes in national and international competitions. He played with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Calabria and at the San Carlo Theater in Naples, and is currently a professor in the public school. He obtained the teaching qualification in 2024.
Giuseppe Salaphotographer born in Catanzaro in 1951, exhibited since 1980 throughout Italy. Specialized in black and white black and white photography, he has collaborated with important visual artists. Among his most famous exhibitions: rooms of daily life (2007), tribute to Francesco Guccini. He worked next to masters such as Mario Giacomelli and Gianni Berengo Gardin.
