Over a month and a half without colonoscopies: this is the photograph of one of the tormented “pages” of Aeolian healthcare. At the Lipari hospital the colonoscope has been broken for weeks and, between promises and postponements, neither the repair nor the replacement have yet arrived.
A technical detail only in appearance which, in reality, is leaving hundreds of citizens without a vital diagnostic service. Those who have to take the exam today have no alternatives: either they face exhausting journeys to Milazzo, Messina or other cities, or they give up.
