A strongly identity national archaeological museum of the city and its history. This is the goal of the “Rebranding” project (strategic process to transform or renew its image) presented in the modern terrace of Palazzo Piacentini by the director Fabrizio Sudano, which marks the beginning of a phase of change in the website and also of the logo with the initials of Reggio Calabria. Presentation that anticipated the jazz feat concert. Nicky Nicolai by Stefano di Battista (Sax) and his quartet composed of Daniele Sorrentino (Basso), Luigi Del Prete (drums), Andrea Rea (Piano) and Matteo Catello (trumpet). Musical performance – on some of the most iconic songs of the “Thousand Blue Bubbles” project – very applauded, also coincided with an exclusive extraordinary opening to the Morrc public from 20 to 23.
The director is afraid, while videos on the change in progress were projected, illustrated values and perspectives in an open confrontation with professionals who edited the creative project moderated by Matilde Flati and with the Etna agency “Industry01” represented by Maria E. Nicotra. The Promoter Ruggero Pegna also collaborated in the context of the “Museum in Fest” program and Giorgio Gatto Costantino regarding a themed video mapping, on the facade of the Morrc, Globo Service, in harmony with the “Rebranding”.
“In mid -June we presented the summer season – recalled the director Sudano – and this meeting is one of the most important. We did it to celebrate the new image of the museum to which we worked so much and which I hope to make it more and more visible, accessible and recognizable outside the region, at national and international level that deserves not only for the Riace bronzes. The logistics part penalizes us a lot. For a year here, however, the increase in flights to the Reggio airport has been remarkable. In addition to that of the Region, the work of the municipal administration creates a synergy that pushes Reggio on tourist levels never touched before. We live it every day for foreigners. Now the great Italian flows will arrive in the seaside resorts. What I always say to hope that food and wine and landscape beauty can combine with archeology and the Museum of Reggio which in Calabria is the greatest attractor. As a museum we have a well -designed and varied calendar also for young people and children, thanks also to the associations that collaborate with us all year round and who will present conferences, meetings and cultural relations. Here the summer can be well experienced by the museum together with the Reggina of the Municipality “.
Sudano is vice versa regretted for the reduced places available in order to which there was some controversy. “Unfortunately – he said – we can’t do anything about it, the numbers are these. Our heart is this, the museum is open as we demonstrate daily. However, we cannot welcome everyone, for the limitations we have so that we must only adapt to the capacity of the structures ».
Stefano Di Battista is happy for the reception received “in this wonderful place in the name of fun and being together. I try to play by freeing myself of the things I studied in the past because the study should not be glued to us. We manage to play, it’s true; But we must not do it mechanically, but express ourselves freely. The more you relax the better. Too concentrated, it’s not good for me. And this is an ideal place ».
