From India comes an incredible story: a 25-year-old left for dead woke up moments before his cremation.
Rohitash Kumar, a young man suffering from speech and hearing difficulties, fell ill and was taken to Jhunjhunu Hospital in Rajasthan (north). Indian media reported that he had an epileptic seizure and that a doctor declared him dead on arrival at the hospital.
The hospital’s head doctor, Dr. Singh, explained that a doctor had “prepared the autopsy report without carrying out an autopsy, and the body was then sent for cremation.” The head doctor added that “shortly before” his cremation, “the body began to move”, therefore “he was alive and breathing”.
The young man was taken to hospital a second time, but this time he was pronounced dead. Three doctors have been suspended and police have opened an investigation, the Times of India and other Indian media reported.
