The INPS instructions have arrived to request the mothers bonus of 40 euros per month, intended for workers with two or more children. Applications must be submitted within 40 days from the date of publication of the circular that the Institute issued today, therefore within the first week of December.
Workers for whom the requirements are completed after this date can instead submit the application by 31 January 2026.
Who is entitled to the mothers bonus
In fact, the INPS reminds you that the Bonus is available to mothers with two children, up to the second child’s 10th birthday, and to mothers with three or more children up to the youngest child’s 18th birthday (excluding those holding permanent contracts).
When the bonus will be paid
The mothers’ bonus will, therefore, be paid in the month of December 2025, compatibly with the date of submission of the application, or by the month of February 2026 if presented in time for the disbursement of December 2025 and, in any case, by 31 January 2026, for a monthly amount of 40 euros for a maximum of 12 monthly payments, i.e. 480 euros.
Requirements and access methods
The benefit is recognized to employees (public and private, excluding domestic work) and self-employed workers registered with mandatory social security schemes, including professional funds and Separate Management. The annual earned income must not exceed 40,000 euros. The amount of 40 euros per month is tax-free and not relevant for ISEE purposes.
