“Anas is close to formalizing the request for 24-hour opening, during the Christmas holidays, until the Epiphany, of the Limina tunnel which will also remain open at nightwith the construction site safe, in order to guarantee better usability in the Locride area”.

“I express satisfaction for the renewed sensitivity that Anas, in the person of the head of the engineer Francesco Caporaso, has demonstrated by accepting the appeal made, together with the president of the Region Roberto Occhiuto, to open the tunnel to guarantee vehicular traffic and avoid inconvenience to motorists in the Christmas holiday period. In the next few days, after having further explored our request for the suspension of work in the period between the weekend before Christmas and up to the Epiphany, there will be the official communication from Anas. Furthermore, in a few weeks, we will have another meeting with Anas in order to verify the timetable of the modernization works of the Limina and Torbido tunnels, the extension to the North and South of the section of the new SS 106 of Locride, including the section of the new 106 Locri Ardore which had been eliminated from the program agreement in 2017 and which has now, however, been reinserted again by the current regional government led by President Occhiuto”.
