The Iranian Red Crescent says all passengers on President Ebrahim Raisi's helicopter are dead. This was reported by the Russian news agency Tass. “No sign of any alive passengers was found after the location of the crashed helicopter was discovered,” Iranian Red Crescent chief Pir Hossein Kolivand told IRIB television channel.

The «helicopter wreckage» was found on the road to the Iranian village of Khoilar-Kalam. Search teams traced parts of the aircraft's wing and blade on a hill and moved towards the spot, Kolivand said, adding: “We will soon inform people about the precise situation.”

In addition to Raisi, the aircraft was carrying, among others, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the governor of East Azerbaijan province Malek Rakhmati and the Tabriz imam of Friday prayers Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem.

Iranian state TV gave the official news of Ebrahim Raisi's death, calling him a “martyr of service”. The bodies of the president and other victims of the crash were transferred to Tabriz, in northwestern Iran, near the site of the plane crash, where The funeral will be held tomorrow.
