Messina – The IV edition of the Strait Tournamenta youth football event which recorded record numbers and a technical-organisational level of absolute importance.
They were 70 participating teamsdivided into categories U13 (2013), U12 (2014) And U11 (2015)for a total of over 1000 athletes busy on Friday 13th, Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th February.
Five plants were involved:
- Sorbello Stadium in Biscontealso home to the U13 and U12 Gold finals on the final day;
- University Sports Citadel of Messina;
- Rugby field Sciavicco by Sperone;
- Cristo Re Sports Centerwhich hosted the U11 category finals (2015);
- Trocadero Sports Club.
The event generated a significant economic impact on the area, involving accommodation facilities and city catering activities.
There was no shortage of critical issues, which were effectively overcome by the organizational machine that had been working on the event for months: the bad weather that hit the city on the night between Thursday and Friday and on Saturday afternoon did not compromise the smooth running of the tournament.

In this category, the most distinguished athletes were selected and awarded by Juventus managers: Spampino (Catania) e Noah Douza (Juventus).
Triangular Gold U13 (2013)
1st place: Fair Play Messina
2nd place: Real Bagnara
3rd place: Juventus (playing with the 2014 team, under age group)
4th place: Juventus Sisport
In this category the athletes were awarded by the Juventus managers Ruggeri (Fair Play Messina) e Costanza Creazzo.

The IV Strait Tournament thus confirms itself as one of the reference realities in the panorama of national youth football, in terms of numbers, technical quality and organizational capacity.
