Jannik Sinner, after his defeat in the quarter-finals of last week’s Montreal tournament, took revenge on Andrey Rublev. The Italian, world number one and seed, has thus earned a place in the semi-finals of the “Cincinnati Open”, the seventh ATP Masters 1000 of the season, with a total prize pool of $6,795,555, taking place at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in the Ohio metropolis (combined with a WTA 1000).

The South Tyrolean won in a comeback, defeating the Russian, number 6 in the world and in the draw, with the score of 4-6 7-5 6-4. In the semifinals, the Italian awaits the winner of the match between the German Alexander Zverev and the American Ben Shelton.
