There are more than 3 million euros in order to start the renovation of the Jazzolino hospital. The President of the Extraordinary Commission at the helm of the Provincial Health Authority of Vibo, Vittorio Piscitelli, regretted the fact that “among the many problems, we lacked this too!”.
But let’s go in order. As is now well known, for years the Vibonese hospital garrison has been a recipient of 25 million euros for the seismic adjustment and the energy efficiency of a part of the structure. These sums derived mainly from the PNRR and partly from the FSC. Like all PNRR funding, even that aimed at adapting the Vibonese hospital was subject to stringent times that – for a series of reasons – could not be respected (as often happens to these latitudes). To avoid, therefore, to lose the important sum of money, the President of the Region and Commissioner ad acta to Health, Roberto Occhiuto, has obtained the possibility of “transforming” the PNRR funds into FSC resources from the government, a fund that provides for much wider execution times.
The “change” of resources has been successful for a few weeks: “However, the last segment is missing,” said Piscilli reported, that is, there are no sums. Specifically, the ASP Commissioner says, the PNRR funds have now been intended for anything else and FSC resources are not sufficient. Over 3 million euros must be found by drawing on other funds.
