The blue Olympian Alice Bellandi won the gold at the Judo World Championships in progress in Budapest. The 26 -year -old blue judoka, on the return after the Paris 2024 Olympic gold medal, on the tatami of the Papp László Sportaréna imposes itself on the Kenyan Zeddy Cherotich, on the Hungarian Nikolett Sagi and on the Chinese but Zhenzhao winning the Pool C of -78 kg. In the semifinal the success against the Slovenian Metka Lobnik, then, in the last act, the blow after six minutes of Golden Score who lands the German Anna Monta Olek and assigns the title to the Lombard athlete.
It is the first world gold for Bellandi, who in his world champion Palmarès already boasted the silver of Abu Dhabi 2024 and the bronze of Doha 2023. For Italy it is the second medal at the Budapest World Championships after the gold of hired scene in the -48 kg.
