After a week full of tension, Juventus smile again, beating Napoli 2-0. At the Allianz Stadium, Spalletti’s boys don’t shine in terms of play, but they manage to take home the three points thanks to the initiatives of the individuals: the winning goals, in fact, are two authentic pearls and bear the signature of Alajbegovic and Boga. Fourth knockout in Serie A, however, for Napoli, too dull and submissive. The big absentee of the evening is Hojlund, stopped in the pits by fever: Lucca therefore takes the center of the Neapolitan attack. But the problems in Allegri’s team are different. The first ring of the match comes from the former Udinese striker, who in the 7th minute breaks away from Bremer in the penalty area and forces Vicario to perform a miracle with his open hand. Juve tries to respond to the guests’ initiatives, but struggles to trigger Kolo Muani and Woltemade. Despite the offensive difficulties, the Bianconeri came close to taking the lead in the 28th minute, hitting the crossbar with Cabal following a corner kick. Two chances followed on each side in the 30th minute: first Lang made it 1-0 by shooting high from a good position, then Alajbegovic, after a header, missed the target with a counter-ball shot. The Bosnian is dangerous again at the end of the half, challenging Meret with an insidious low shot.

Juve were close to scoring even at the start of the second half. Nine minutes pass, in fact, and Woltemade launches Kolo Muani on the counterattack: the Frenchman, however, does not take advantage of the two against one, making a mistake in supporting Alajbegovic and giving the ball back to Napoli. This, in fact, will be the last frame of the former PSG’s match: his exit from the pitch for Zhegrova’s entry was accompanied by copious boos from the Stadium. Despite the many technical errors, Juve played a better second half than Napoli and found the opening goal in the 70th minute. The Juventus 1-0 was scored by Alajbegovic, who pulled out a phenomenal goal: the Bosnian, in fact, unloaded a powerful left-footed shot from distance, beating an innocent Meret. It was raining wet for the guests who remained with ten men in the 75th minute following Marianucci’s expulsion for a second yellow card. Juve managed the result without worries and closed the game in the 87th minute, thanks to the substitute Boga, who replicated Alajbegovic’s feat, finding the corner with a deadly right-footed shot. With this victory, Spalletti’s team is in seventh place in the Serie A table, with 17 points: one position lower, however, is the Neapolitan team, stuck on 14.
