A crazy brawl, with kicks, punches, bottlenecks and launch of chairs in the nightlife of Vibo, in the total silence of those who were present at the scenes, did not call the police, he subsequently collaborated for the reconstruction of the facts.

The State Police denounced nine young people, including two minors, for the crime of brawl after the violent episode of the night of April 27 near a place in the center of Vibo Valentia.

The dispute, broke out for futile reasons, has quickly transformed into a violent scuffle that sowed panic among passers -by. According to what was reconstructed by the investigators of the mobile team, the young people faced each other with Kicks, punches, Dehor chairs and glass bottlescausing a serious disturbance of public order. After the facts, the participants disappeared without any citizen present asking for the intervention of the police.

The investigations, started immediately after the incident and supported by the video surveillance system, made it possible to identify all the subjects involved, which were referred to the judicial authority for the crime provided for by article 588 of the criminal code. Furthermore, in application of the so -called “Caivano Decree” (Legislative Decree 123/2023), aimed at contrasting the juvenile crime, the anti -crime division of the Police Headquarters has notified all the participants, including minors, an oral notice of the commissioner of Vibo Valentia, Rodolfo Ruperti. For three of the young people, the mandatory route sheet was also issued by the Municipality of Vibo Valentia, with a ban on return for three years.

Further investigations are still underway to evaluate the application of other prevention measures, considering the severity of the facts and the danger to public safety. The police headquarters finally underlined the lack of collaboration by witnesses, passers -by and owners of the commercial activities present, renewing the appeal to citizens to promptly report any episode that can compromise collective security, in particular during the nightlife hours.
