Everyone calls for cohesion and unity. But at the moment there is not even a shadow of unity between the parties. Even the calls launched to set up technical tables went unheeded. And this is both in the centre-right and centre-left alignments.
In particular, as regards the centre-right, Fratelli d’Italia, Forza Italia and Noi Moderati have expressed their desire to play a “determining and central role within a possible coalition”. Which means that everyone is ready (and would like) to indicate their own candidate for mayor. This is why the next few months will be crucial, first of all to get everyone to sit around the same consultation table and then to find a solution on the name of the future candidate for mayor. A road that is currently long and uphill, at least in these latitudes. This is why we will have to wait for the decisions that will come from Rome, where the national and regional leaders of the parties will discuss how to proceed and above all who to focus on.
