The Carabinieri of the Gallina Station (RC), in collaboration with the patrols of the Reggio Calabria Company, have completed an important anti-drug operation. During a thorough search in a rural area, the military discovered 600 cannabis plants inside a abandoned farmhouse Indiana in the drying phase, together with a kilogram of cannabis already defoliated and spread on special sheets to complete the drying.
The prompt intervention made it possible to nip in the bud the introduction of a large quantity of drugs into the illegal market, a constant threat to the community. The plants, together with the already dried material, were immediately seized and will be subjected to further laboratory analyzes to ascertain the level of THC, the active ingredient in cannabis.
