Fire brigade intervention this morning in Fratelli Maruca, in Lamezia Terme, due to a fire that broke out inside an apartment on the first mezzanine floor of a three-storey building.

The fire brigade teams intervened promptly, managing to put out the flames and make the building safe. At the same time, three tenants present in the apartment were evacuated via the Italian ladder provided to the firefighters, together with a small dog. No one was injured.

According to an initial reconstruction, still under investigation, the fire was caused by a probable malfunction of the electrical system.

The flames caused damage to the rooms of the apartment located on the first mezzanine floor, which, following the checks carried out, was declared unusable until normal safety conditions were restored.

Once the extinguishing operations were completed, the fire brigade teams proceeded to make the areas safe.
