Life-saving flight from Lamezia to Rome for a 7-year-old boy

A 7-year-old child, in imminent danger of his life, was urgently transferred this evening from Lamezia Terme to Rome with a Gulfstream G650 of the 31st Wing of the Air Force based in Ciampino. The little boy, hospitalized at the Lamezia Terme hospital, needed to be transferred as soon as possible to the Bambino Gesù pediatric hospital in Rome to receive immediate specialist care.

The request from the Prefecture of Catanzaro

The request for support – explains the Air Force – came from the Prefecture of Catanzaro and was managed by the Summit Situation Room of the Air Force Command, the operations room of the Air Force which has among its tasks also that of coordinating this type of activity for the benefit of the community.
