The plans for the extinction of liabilities for the Municipalities of Soveria Mannelli, Mandatoriccio and Pizzo Calabro have been approved, and positive assessments have been made for the requests and resolutions relating to the hiring and redetermination of the staffing levels for thirteen Calabrian Municipalities. This is what was decided yesterday, with reference to the Calabrian municipalities, by the Commission for the financial stability of local authorities (Cosfel), chaired by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior with responsibility for local authorities, Hon. Wanda Ferro.
In particular, the requests presented by the Municipalities of Mendicino and Villa San Giovanni for permanent hires following the “Cohesion Competition” were examined with a favorable outcome. Positive evaluations also for the resolutions of the municipal council – including redeterminations of the staffing, hiring and stabilization – of 11 Municipalities: Cicala, Canna, Bisignano, Longobardi, Crosia, Serra San Bruno, Marina di Gioiosa Ionica, San Demetrio Corone, Santa Domenica Talao, Montalto Uffugo and Strongoli.
«The Ministry of the Interior – states Undersecretary Wanda Ferro – confirms its commitment alongside local authorities, supporting them both on a financial level and in the process of strengthening administrative capacity. A more solid public administration, with qualified personnel and adequate tools, is the indispensable condition for guaranteeing efficient services to citizens and for accompanying the territories in the processes of growth and strengthening of social cohesion”.
