During the conference “The importance of certified and quality information”, held as part of the World Day against disinformation and fake news and promoted by Gazzetta del Sud, we listened to the words of Giuseppe Soluri, president of the Order of Journalists of Calabria:
“Quality information concerns the common good. It is no coincidence that given the expression of thought codified in Article 21 of the Constitution, this article explicitly correlates the right of people to be correctly informed. Correctly informing is a duty for journalists and a right for users and has unfortunately often become impossible in this general framework: too much fake news, too much news which leads the user to no longer understand anything or to understand incorrectly also because a lot of scientifically and knowingly false information is circulated driven by people who have interests that have nothing to do with the right information”.
