Management of advertising systems in Catanzaro, lights on in the commissions

The topic of advertising systems is important and strategic for the institution’s coffers, which is why the city councilors intend to delve deeper into the perspective and the actions already implemented. In fact, starting tomorrow we will start with a series of hearings aimed at examining the topic in greater depth, starting from the current situation and arriving at the tender notice currently being prepared by the administration.
Already in the past few weeks, an operational meeting was held at Palazzo De Nobili to define the details of a provision that could lead the organization to gain at least 2.5 million euros per year (according to an estimate dating back to around 10 years ago ). Without neglecting the sanctioning aspect with respect to the abusive past, on which the lights of the local police have been shining for some time.
In the commission – the Supervision and Control, Heritage and Urban Planning departments are involved – we will start with Commander Vincenzo Ruocco who will illustrate the verification and repression activity carried out in recent months, during which various fines have been imposed on those companies not in compliance with fees and authorizations for the use of 6×3 billboards: at the beginning of 2024 alone they were around 40 thousand euros (out of 150 systems, approximately two thirds were found to be non-compliant).
