Mattarella invites the heroes of the Paris Olympics: there will also be four Calabrians

On September 23rd at the Quirinale, the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella will welcome both the Italian medalists of the Paris 2024 Olympics and the athletes who almost reached the podium. The ceremony, enriched by this novelty, includes the return of the tricolour. Mattarella expressed this wish to the president of Coni, Giovanni Malagò, in an edition in which Italy equaled the Tokyo record with 40 medals, also obtaining 25 fourth places. Among the guests there will also be the men’s national volleyball team (including the Calabrians – originally from Rossano – Lavia a Laurenzano, who will go before the president together with the medalist Alessio and Giovanni Tocci, fourth in the synchronized).
