With a question addressed to the Mayor and the Councilor of the branch, the municipal councilor Free Youthgroup leader of Fratelli d’Italia, raises doubts and asks for clarification regarding the assignment of 17,000 euros to the “Santa Maria delle Grazie” parish of Bordonaro.

The amount was allocated with Resolution no. 9661 of 7 November 2024 by the Director of the Human Services Department, as a contribution for cultural and social events to be held in the months of October and November.

Gioveni, while recognizing the importance of initiatives that promote the cultural and tourist development of the territory, underlines an alleged lack of transparency. “Not only is the nature of the financed events not specified in the deed, but it is probable – observes the councilor – that these activities have already been carried out, given that today’s date is November 21st”.

The councilor also requests explanations regarding the consistency of the contributionwhich is significantly higher than those granted to other bodies with similar purposes outside the Christmas period.

For all these aspects in the question, Gioveni asks to know:

  1. Which events or demonstrations were organized by the parish of Bordonaro in the months of October and November.
  2. What criteria were used to justify the assignment of the sum of 17,000 euros to the parish, compared to the cultural value mentioned in the Determination.

Furthermore, the councilor formally requested access to documents to verify all the contribution requests presented in 2024 by the city parishes, distinguishing between those accepted, with related spending commitments and payments, and those rejected.

Gioveni concludes by requesting a written response to clarify the management of these funds and ensure greater transparency on the use of public resources.
