“The evaluation of going to vote early will depend only on us, not on what happens in Palermo. What if, for example, we got tired of being a minority in the city council?”. Cateno De Luca thus reopens the hypothesis of early elections in 2026, separating this scenario from those of Palermo (today the motion of no confidence in Schifani is being discussed, which is destined to be rejected in any case). He does so in the now classic Tuesday press conference, today dedicated to services in schools and the activity of the Messina Social City and to the presentation of a new entry, future candidate for the city council, the doctor Nicola Maddocco.

De Luca also comments on the latest exits of the centre-right and centre-left: “These are cries of those who depend on what others say to exist, with a common denominator: they are not ready to go to the vote”. And then he launches a complaint: “There is a part of the city, made up of the lobbies that are in charge, that does not forgive us for what we are doing and carries out dossier activities in many buildings, institutional and otherwise, up to the ministries.”
