After the proclamation of the state of agitation, the trade unions Filcams CGIL, UILTrasporti, FP CGIL e UIL FP Messina announce a three-hour demonstration to be held Wednesday 22 October, from 2.30pm to 5.30pm, in front of the main entrance of thePapardo Hospital.
The mobilization arises from the critical issues encountered in the procurement of internal auxiliary services, currently managed by the company GSN, which – according to the unions – would have applied to former agency workers a contract different from the healthcare one previously envisaged, with economic and regulatory worsening.
“The staff carries out the same tasks as before – underline Giuseppe Ragno (Filcams CGIL) and Giovanni Giordano (UILTrasporti) – but with a less protective contract, in contrast with the healthcare nature of the service”.
Also Livius Andronicus (UIL FP) e Antonio Trino (FP CGIL) denounce “a race to the bottom that penalizes wages and quality of care, to the detriment of workers and patients”.
The trade unions ask that thePapardo Hospital Company convene urgently a discussion table to guarantee adequate contractual conditions and the protection of the quality of healthcare services.
