November 15th was a day of celebration at the Municipality, with the hiring of around 170 new employees. The next day the assignment to the various departments and offices took place. But even today it seems that many of them have not been equipped with rooms, workstations or desks, computers or equipment. In short, it seems that “they have not been put in a position to actually carry out their activities efficiently”, report the PD city councilors Felice Calabrò and Alessandro Russowho sent a note to the general manager Except Puccio. They also ask the latter whether the Municipality «has given due consideration to the CVs of the winners, in order to capitalize on the previous professional skills acquired. This is a very important step, since the new logic of public administration expressly focuses on evaluation also of previous work and professional experiences, in order to be able to exploit them to the benefit of the subsequent administrative activity”. Ironically and on a side note, among the newly hired there is also the new provincial secretary of the Democratic Party, Armando Hyeracewho surpassed Alessandro Russo, the only other candidate, at the congress.
One also comes from Calabrò and Russo themselves harsh rejoinder to the president of ATM Carla Grillocompared to the case of the failure of the Atm Board of Directors to participate in the work of the first council commission. The Dem councilors reject the accusation of political exploitation: «The behavior of the ATM Board of Directors was stigmatized and censured unanimously by all the councilors making up the first commission, including colleagues from the majority. May the president evaluate the allegorical meaning of what happened.”
