The final event of the project “was held in the Scoori days of the Nelly in the Great Department of the Ingnery Department of the University of MessinaEureka! Works!“Edition 2025. An entrepreneurial orientation and education project, promoted by Federmeccanica with the patronage of Ministry of Education and merit and organized at a territorial level by Sicindustria Messina. The goal was to propose students an experience of creativity and knowledge, of experimentation, discovery and self-learning on the themes of technological innovation and steam disciplines (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics).

Theme of this year’s project magnetism. The Santa Margherita IC, on the proposal of the manager Fulvia Ferlitoembraced the Eureka project from the beginning with great enthusiasm, involving four classes, 2nd, 2b, 2c and 2D of the first grade secondary school, because it was immediately understood that the real active protagonists would have been the same pupils and also because the project put on the field those transversal skills, the CDs “Life Skills”, now considered fundamental for the realization of the person, even after the school path. Engaged in A competition, design and construction of a real toy, starting from a kit provided by Federmeccanicathe pupils, divided into groups, worked for a few months with an interdisciplinary approach, developing cooperative learning and teamwork skills, to experiment with engineers and inventors. Guided by teachers of technology, mathematics and art, they indulged you in creating their toys that had as their only binding feature that of being mobile. They learned the use of advertising communication, trying the creation of logos and slogans for the presentation of their projects.

Once the works are concluded, an internal commission selected the four projects to be presented to the jury of the competition, which evaluated the innovative character of the toy, the on -board diary, the drawing, the advertising slogan, as well as the presentation by the boys. The results gave us reason and on the podium for the territorial race between the comprehensive institutes of Messina the 2b class rose which ranked first with the toy “The magnetic golf”. Congratulations to the pupils of the 2b and their teachers Salvatore Alia, Chiara Oliveri and Marcella Zappia. “A certainly positive and stimulating experience from all points of view, which has represented for them a heritage of experiences and skills that can also be spent in their future,” said Ferlito by thanking the coordinating teacher of the project Cinzia Restucciato the colleague Beautiful who edited the artistic part, to Federmeccanica, in Sicindustria and to the organizers all for the extraordinary opportunity offered to students who, who knows, perhaps a tomorrow could become inventors or engineers!
