An invitation to the beauty, sharing and rediscovery of classical culture: this is the spirit that animates the new edition of the National Night of the Classical High School promoted by the “La Farina – Basile” Higher Education Institute, in the wake of the success of past editions, strongly desired and supported by the Headmaster Caterina Celesti.

The appointment is set for Friday 27 March, starting at 4pm, with an afternoon that will open at the Palacultura in Messina. The first edition of the “Classical High School Afternoon” will begin here, a moment of meeting and collaboration between students, which will feature not only the students of the institute but also children from various comprehensive schools in the area. Through music, choir and orchestral performances, a bridge will be symbolically built between generations, in the name of culture and participation. During the event, a special space will also be dedicated to the numerous new members, who will be officially welcomed into the school community, in a climate of sharing and openness towards the future. The scenography is from the scenography department of the Liceo Artistico Basile.

At 6pm the inauguration of the 12th edition of the National High School Night will be held, a national event involving hundreds of high schools throughout Italy. The evening will then continue in the Aula Magna of the Institute, transformed for the occasion into a lively cultural laboratory. The program includes a rich succession of events, theatrical performances, readings, artistic performances and meetings with guests, entirely conceived and created by the students, with the support of the teachers. A multidisciplinary path that intends to enhance the vitality and relevance of classical studies, showing how the cultural heritage of the past continues to dialogue with the present. The initiative, once again promoted and supported by the school director Caterina Celesti, is part of a now consolidated tradition of participation and success, becoming an event awaited by the school community and the city. The students involved will also be recognized for their commitment by calculating the compulsory orientation hours, demonstrating the educational value of the experience. “The National Night of the Classical High School” is thus confirmed not only as an event, but as a moment of collective pride and discovery, capable of telling the story of a lively, dynamic school deeply rooted in its tradition.
