Messina, open day at the naval base for National Unity and Armed Forces Day

On Tuesday 4 November the naval base of the Messina Navy will open its doors to the city on the occasion of National Unity and Armed Forces Day. The initiative includes an open day with free entry and the possibility of visiting Fort San Salvatore and the offshore patrol vessel Libra.

The visits will be open to the public from 9.30 to 12.30 and from 2 to 4.30. Inside Forte San Salvatore there will be an info point dedicated to students, where it will be possible to find out about the competition opportunities offered by the Navy. It will also be possible to visit the historic rooms, the external route of the Stele of the Madonna della Lettera and you will be able to admire the view of the city of Messina and the Strait.

To guarantee orderly access for visitors and students to the Naval Base, a Navy vehicle will be made available which will provide a continuous shuttle service between Piazzale Todaro and Fort San Salvatore. The Navy invites citizens and schools to participate in the day, designed to bring the public closer to the history, places and activities of the Armed Forces.
