This morning, around 8:00, parents and students gathered in front of the gates of the art high school Ernesto Basile at the Annunziata to protest against the recent change in the school timetable decided by the institute’s management. The change, introduced in recent days, led to an extension of lesson times into the afternoon hours, forcing many children to leave school in the late afternoon. A decision which, according to the families, creates considerable inconvenience especially for those who use public transport to reach home.
“The situation has become unsustainable – explains a parent present at the event –. The children go out too late, have difficulties with transport and arrive home tired, without time to study or dedicate themselves to other activities.”

Placards, banners and slogans accompanied the peaceful protest in front of the entrance to the high school, while a delegation of parents asked to meet the principal to explain their reasons and ask for a revision of the timetable.
