The week that will lead to the match against Castrumfavara begins but above all it will be crucial for the change at the helm of the club, with the definitive transfer of the Acr sports business complex to Racing Group and Global Capital. The two main representatives, Justin Davis and Morris Pagniello, who will soon officially become president and vice president of the club, are expected to arrive in the city on Friday. And the agenda during their visit to the Strait promises to be quite busy.
A conference will probably be held on Saturday (not in an institutional setting) during which the key elements of the sports project will be illustrated to the public but also, probably, some figures who will be part of the new cycle. On Sunday, in fact, the stop at the “Franco Scoglio” stadium to watch the match, while the most important date will probably be Monday 27th, when the NewCo called upon to replace, especially federally, the current affiliate will have to be established with signatures, while providing operational continuity in Lnd.
In this sense, we are waiting to understand how the passage relating to the sports debt will be resolved, currently amounting to 640 thousand euros but which will be more than halved (290 thousand euros) when the guarantee deposited in Lega Pro last year is enforced (among other things, expiring at the end of the month). There are two possible hypotheses: either an international procedure with Italian banks based abroad, so as to speed up the process, but there is also the idea that the debt can be paid “directly”, i.e. with the injection of liquidity and without guarantee coverage.
Meanwhile, yesterday a video call was held between the current owners, the coach Pippo Romano and the sporting director Giovanni Martello to understand each other’s intentions. The desire is to move forward together, also given the current results, but it will be necessary to understand whether on an operational level the plans will coincide and above all whether there will be additional figures of sporting expertise grafted into the machine, such as a technical director in the club or in a broader form in the multi-club galaxy of RCG.
