A two -year -old girl in danger of life was urgently transported from Catania to Rome with a Falcon 900 of the 31st Wing of the Air Force. The little girl, in very serious health and hospitalized conditions at the G. Martino University Hospital of Messina, needed immediate specialist treatments.
The transfer with the Air Force aircraft made itself necessary to allow her to reach the Bambino Gesù hospital in Rome. This was communicated by the aeronautics in a note. Arriving in ambulance at Catania-Fontanarossa airport, she was embarked around 12:00, accompanied by a family member and constantly assisted by a medical team.
The Falcon 900 landed at Ciampino military airport after about an hour of flight. An ambulance of the Child Jesus awaited her, who immediately transferred her for the necessary care. The crew of the 31st Stormo then resumed the operational readiness service on the basis of Ciampino.
The flight, requested by the Prefecture of Messina and authorized by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, has been ordered and coordinated by the Stock Exhibition Room of the Air Team Command, which manages 24 hours a day, urgent health transport with aircraft always ready in different bases of the country.
