Small great seeds of hope: they are the scattered ones, between one note and the other, from the talents of theMessina Youth Symphony Orchestraa reality born last year that has already conquered many consents in the city. Training, conceived and directed by Nazzareno De Benedetto which today counts more than 30 elements, has been the protagonist of the Easter concert which was held at the church of San Nicolò at Archbishopric, as part of the 52nd season of the Association Messina Chamber Orchestra. An evening of great value with a rich musical proposal, which ranged from pages of classical and contemporary music such as the concert for Archi in Do Maggiore by Antonio Vivaldi, the Suite N.2 Water Music by Haendel and two songs of the Gymnopedie of Erik Satie adapted by De Benedetto, to liturgical songs linked to the mysteries of the week such as the Stabat Mater of Kodaly, Adoramus Te’s Charis Pierluigi da Palestrina and the Creed in Migly of Vivaldi. In the liturgical part and in the final passage – the poignant Ave Maria di Gomez – the execution of the orchestra was embellished with the performance of the Exesultate Jubilate choir, which also performed the homonymous song by Karl Jenkins a chapel from which the formation and the cultural association chaired by Msgr. Nicolò brakes takes its name. Great harmony, the result of a long study and tests (in the Liceo premises La Farina made available by the manager Caterina Celesti) during which the orchestral young people were lovingly followed by the tutor teachers (Cettina de Benedetto and Giovanni Alibrandi for violins, Daniele Testa For the violets and the bass, Daria Grillo for woods e Roberto Salmer for brass, with the collaboration of the percussion colleague Giuseppe Drosi). The gratitude of the President of the Camera Orchestra Association Antero arena To the parish priest Msgr. Letterio Gulletta For welcoming this event and to the many Messina who crowded the Church for manifesting, with their presence, “support for these young people who have chosen to get involved showing their talent and the desire to do”. Arena’s appeal, through the many professionals of the musical world present including the teacher Alba creates of the Laudamo Philharmonic Association, to “support the training course of the orchestra, a forge of hope at a time when the boys seem to need to be educated to music and oriented to beauty”.
