Today, Thursday 11 December, will be the day of the interrogation. The investigating judge Salvatore Pugliese set it to hear the doctor Francesco Stagno d’Alcontres, the former director of plastic surgery at the Polyclinic who ended up under house arrest on charges of extortion, corruption, undue inducement to give or promise benefits.
In the investigation which sees the former head physician at the center with a national career also in politics between first Forza Italia and then the PDL, four times the lens of the Prosecutor’s Office directed by Antonio D’Amato is focused on contracts for the supply of medical products, and there are 31 suspects.
In addition to Stagno d’Alcontres, the investigating judge will also hear the medical director of the plastic surgery department of the Polyclinic Antonina “Tania” Fazio and the midwife Cristina Alì, who have been subjected to the disqualifying measure of suspension from the profession for 12 months. The former head physician is assisted by lawyers Lori Olivo and Michele Minissale, Dr. Fazio by the lawyers Sebastiano Campanella and Carlo Giorgianni, the midwife Alì by the lawyer Salvatore Silvestro.
