According to Israeli media, The United States is taking part in a desperate diplomatic effort to prevent the International Criminal Court (ICC) from issuing arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this week, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and IDF chief Herzi Halevi. The Walla news site adds that Netanyahu made continuous phone calls over the weekend trying to convince the US to block any ICC decisions.
Haaretz writes that the Israeli government is working under the assumption that ICC prosecutor Karim Khan can issue the warrants this week.
