The SS Milazzo opens a new phase in its history. On June 29th, the acquisition of the majority share package was completed in favor of Anselmo Taranto, already a shareholder and member of the Board of Directors, who officially assumes the role of president of the rossoblù company.
Taranto succeeds Mauro Versaci
With the transfer of shares, Anselmo Taranto succeeds Mauro Versaci at the helm of the club, giving continuity to Milazzo’s sporting project.
In the press release, the company thanked the outgoing president and the managers who accompanied him in the three-year period just concluded, “for having guided the company in this three-year period full of satisfactions”, wishing them the best luck for the future.
A new phase for the club
SS Milazzo underlines that “a new phase in the history” of the club is opening, which will continue to work with commitment, professionalism and passion to achieve the best possible result in the Serie D championship and continue to promote young people.
The club also wished the new president well in his work, highlighting how Taranto will make “expertise, commitment, vision and charisma” available to the club to encourage its growth.
The words of the new president
«Taking the helm of SS Milazzo is a great honor and an even greater responsibility for me. I thank those who have worked so far to bring this company to the results obtained. From today a new journey begins. Our goal is to build a solid club, enhance young people, strengthen the bond with the fans and with the entire city of Milazzo”, declared the new president.
Taranto then indicated the objectives of the new management: «We want a competitive team that fights with pride in every match, respecting the history and the rossoblù colours. To the institutions, entrepreneurs and sponsors of the area I say: Milazzo must become a shared heritage. Only by joining forces will we be able to face the challenges of the new season with ambition and stability.”
Finally, a message addressed to the fans: «I promise commitment, presence and maximum respect to the fans. I won’t make unrealistic promises, but I guarantee that every decision will be made in the best interests of the club. Together we can write a new page in the history of Milazzo. Go Milazzo.”
