It is in the middle of the northernmost periphery of Calabria, in the quieter and remote countryside of Contrada Campolongo, between Campotenese and Mormanno, who has consumed a tragedy. On that road that suddenly squeezes as a tenacious pitfall in solitude, yesterday afternoon, the weather seemed suddenly to collapse when a 67 -year -old man, originally from the Neapolitan but residing in Scalea, lost his life at the wheel of his utility car.
The car, for reasons still in the course of assessment, was skidded ending up against a wall. The driver would have died instantly. The firefighters of Castrovillari (chief team Vincenzo Sparano) intervened to remove the 67 -year -old trapped in the embankment of sample sheets of his car came to the scene.
