Francesco Bagnaia took pole position in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. The Ducati factory world champion preceded Jorge Martin on Ducati Pramac and his teammate Enea Bastianini. Fourth was Brad Binder on Ktm. Seventh was Marc Marquez on Ducati team Grasini.

The time achieved by the world champion rider was 1’30″031, a new track record. The front row is monopolized by the Ducatis and is completed by Jorge Martin (Ducati Prima Pramac, +0″214), in second place, and by Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo, +0″533), in third. Fourth time for the South African Brad Binder (Ktm), while the rookie Pedro Acosta (Ktm GasGas) closes fifth: Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati Pertamina) completes the second row. Seventh, instead, is Marc Marquez (Ducati Gresini), under par in qualifying and crashed during the session. Maverick Vinales (Aprilia) follows, eighth, and Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), ninth.
