Giacomo Frasconà Filaro, his father Antonio and his brother Mario, arrested three days ago for the murder of Giuseppe Di Dio, 16, which occurred in Capizzi in front of a bar, should be questioned tomorrow in the Enna prison.
“My clients will answer the questions – says their lawyer, the lawyer Felice Lo Furno – whoever shot will assume his responsibilities while the father Antonio and the son Mario will clarify their position”. According to the criminal lawyer, Giacomo, the alleged murderer, was subjected to a series of taunts by the victim, which culminated in a beating that took place shortly before the shooting. “My client still bears the signs of that attack,” says the lawyer.
Immediately after the beating, according to the defense, the young man reached an abandoned house where he took the gun with which he then shot. But someone would have warned the family, and the father Antonio together with his son Mario would have started looking for Giacomo to prevent him from doing something stupid. After finding him they would have made him get into the car. The young man had calmed down and would have asked his father to leave him in front of the bar to have a beer, but instead tragedy occurred.
Mother’s apology
«I apologize, I am saddened, I have no words. I am as close to him as a mother.” Speaking to Tg1, the mother of Giacomo Frasconà, the perpetrator of the crime, arrested by the police together with his brother Mario and father Antonio, asks for forgiveness from the family members of Giuseppe Di Dio, the 16-year-old killed in Capizzi. According to the woman, her husband had gone to the bar to pick up his son and not to accompany him on the punitive expedition, as the Enna Prosecutor’s Office claims. «In your opinion – she adds – did my husband take his son to commit a massacre? In your opinion, what kind of father is someone who takes a son to spend thirty years in prison? But we’re joking…”
