This morning the Patti police arrested a 33-year-old man, resident in Brolo. The investigation was coordinated by the Patti public prosecutor’s office and is part of specific territorial control activities.
The man is seriously suspected of the crime of domestic abuse aggravated by recidivism, committed against his partner from December 2022 until today, even in the presence of his minor children. According to what emerged, he engaged in violent and oppressive behavior that generated a state of fear, anxiety and frustration in the victim, forcing him on several occasions to abandon the shared home.
The investigations by the Carabinieri, based on the declarations of the victim and some witnesses, made it possible to gather serious evidence against the suspect, leading the investigating judge to order the precautionary measure in prison. The judge highlighted the man’s social danger, underlining the continuity and seriousness of violent conduct within the family.
According to the ordinance, the nature of the attacks, the intensity of the threats and the continuing state of anxiety caused in the victim, combined with the concrete risk of repeating the crime, made the restrictive measure necessary.
