Three acquittals – Nicola Sebastiano Fortugno and Alessandra Fortugno (defended by the lawyer Saverio Gatto) and Serena Fortugno (defended by the lawyers Mirna Raschi and Ettore Aversano) and nine convictions in the “Arangea” abbreviated trial. This is what Gup Claudio Treglia decided in the Bunker courtroom; the sentencing requests were formulated by the anti-mafia prosecutor Nicola De Caria. An alleged ‘Ndrangheta group that operated in the south of Reggio, right in the Arangea district, is under accusation for various reasons for mafia association and extortion. The sentences: Antonio Autolitano (8 years), Vincenzo Autolitano (8 years and 8 months), Pasquale Federico (4 years, 5 months and 10 days), Antonino Ficara (17 years and 6 months), Carmelo Gullì (9 years and 2 months), Domenico Modafferi (8 years), Luigi Musolino (13 years and 4 months), Demetrio Palumbo (17 years and 8 months), Sebastiano Praticò (20 years).
The Judge ordered the release of the companies “Il bergamotto” and “Citrus”.
