The works that have started and are about to be contracted out on the coast in the southern area of the city will concern some of the areas hit by Cyclone Harry in Messina, but they were not scheduled due to Cyclone Harry. They were already planned and financed, but today, in light of what happened with the frightening wave of bad weather on January 20th and 21st, they acquire a completely different importance. Above all because precisely in those days and in the immediately subsequent inspections, carried out personally by councilors Francesco Caminiti (Soil Defense) and Massimiliano Minutoli (Civil Protection), it emerged that where the interventions to protect the coast had been carried out in the right way, in previous years, the damage was limited.
