A 32-year-old was arrested for attempted murder by the police and placed under house arrest after what appeared to be a road accident. The event happened in Palmi. The agents of the police stations of Gioia Tauro, Palmi and Polistena intervened in Palmi after the report of an accident in which a man was hit by a car. Once on the scene, the police reconstructed the facts, also making use of the images of the video surveillance systems present in the area and found that the man driving the car voluntarily hit the other person who was in the immediate vicinity.
Having established that it was not a road accident as initially reported, the officers arrested the motorist. According to the reconstruction made by the investigators, the two know each other and had arranged to meet for clarification.
One of the two arrived on foot and the other by car. The latter, instead of stopping, hit the other, causing him minor injuries judged to be healable in 7 days. The judicial authority validated the arrest and subjected the man to the precautionary measure of house arrest. Investigations continue to trace the reasons for the meeting and further verify the dynamics
