Day 10 of the Paris 2024 Olympics. After awarding 162 gold medals to date, 20 more finals will take place and new titles will be awarded in 9 different disciplines on this day of the Games.

Skeet shooting

Italy wins its ninth gold at the Paris Games, its 25th overall medal, thanks to clay shooting: in the skeet mixed team final, at the Shooting Centre in Chateauroux, Diana Bacosi and Gabriele Rossetti beat the American duo of Austen Jewell Smith, bronze in the individual event, and Vincent Hancock, four-time Olympic champion. For Bacosi, it is the third medal at the Games after the gold in Rio and the silver in Tokyo; Rossetti was Olympic champion in 2016.

Men’s Volleyball

A marathon lasting over two and forty minutes of play, a crazy match. The men’s Itavolleyball team rises again and beats Japan 3-2, earning itself another Olympic semifinal. Lavia and his teammates cancel four match points (three in the third set and one in the tie-break) and with the decisive point by Russo. Italy-Japan 3-2: 20-25, 23-25, 27-25, 26-24, 17-15

Gymnastics

Incredible Italian double on the beam. Alice d’Amato wins gold with a total of 14,366 points, while Mnaila Esposito takes bronze with 14,000 points. Silver goes to China’s Yaqin Zhou (14,100). Simone Biles falls and finishes in fifth place

Shooting range

In shooting, in the final of the Men’s 25 Meter Automatic Pistol adventure ended for Massimo Spinella from Reggio who ranked sixth. Too bad for that 1/5 of the first series that conditioned the path of the Reggio athlete (a subsequent 5/5 was not enough) reached in Paris by the family from Calabria. Spinella closes with 11 targets. The Chinese Li Yuehong wins.

Despite a probable kidney stone, with a fever close to 39, the Italian high jumper Gianmarco Tamberi keeps his word and flies to Paris.
